Call To Worship - AUTHORITY

by 70x7 | January 28th, 2010

The “Call To Worship” is a traditional liturgical element containing spoken words of invitation with which a worship celebration begins.  The words are usually spoken by the worship leader followed by responses by the congregation.  Every time I write a new “Call To Worship,” I focus on the content of the preacher’s message for that day, while exhorting the people to enthusiastically enter into the time of worship. - B.J. AUTHORITY

Leader:   We are God’s people, and we have assembled this day to praise Him and worship Him.
People:  WE PRAISE YOU LORD!  WE SHALL WORSHIP YOU FOREVER.
Leader:  Great and mighty is He who rules from heaven’s throne.
People:  GREAT ARE YOU, OH GOD, AND MIGHTY TO SAVE.
Leader:  All wisdom and strength comes from the Lord.
People:  WE SURRENDER OURSELVES TO YOU LORD, FOR YOU HAVE MADE US STRONG.
Leader:  All glory and power are the Lord’s.
People:  HEAVENLY FATHER, YOURS IS THE POWER AND THE GLORY FOREVER.
Leader:  All blessing and honor belong to the Lord.
People:  LORD, YOU BLESS US EVERY DAY.  MAY OUR LIVES HONOR YOU IN EVERY WAY.
Leader:  Let us bring glory and submit ourselves to the One whose authority rules over all of creation.
People:  YES LORD!  RECEIVE OUR LIVES AND PRAISES AS AN OFFERING TO YOU.
