The “Call To Worship” is a traditional liturgical element containing spoken words of invitation with which a worship celebration begins. The words are usually spoken by the worship leader followed by responses by the congregation. Each week, I try to prepare a new “Call To Worship” for our traditional service, focusing on the content of the preacher’s message for that day, while exhorting the people to enthusiastically enter into the time of worship. - B.J. MAGI
Leader: As we gather together and celebrate the birth of Christ, let us remember the wisdom of the Maji, who came from afar to bring Him gifts worthy of a king.
PEOPLE: WE BRING OUR BEST GIFTS BEFORE THE KING OF KINGS TO HONOR HIS BIRTH.
Leader: Let us bring glory and honor to Jesus, the Savior of the world.
PEOPLE: WE BRING OUR BEST GIFTS BEFORE JESUS, BECAUSE HE IS WORTHY.
Leader: Our lives are rich and we have everything we need, so let us share out of the abundance we’ve been given.
PEOPLE: WE SHARE OUR BEST GIFTS WITH THOSE IN NEED, JUST AS JESUS DID FOR US.
Leader: Our hearts are full of Christ’s love, so let each of us make sacrifices in the name of love.
PEOPLE: WE SACRIFICE OUR BEST GIFTS OUT OF LOVE FOR OTHERS, JUST AS JESUS DID FOR US.
Leader: Let us share His love with the whole world, and lift up His name in songs of praise.
PEOPLE: WE LIFT OUR VOICES IN PRAISE, AND SING HIS HOLY NAME!
