All Things To All Men
(B.J. Collins - 1996)

Tell me, am I not free? Am I not still an apostle?
Tell me, haven't I seen Jesus Christ our Lord?
Though I may not be seen as an apostle to others
surely I am to you, the seal of my work for Him.

This is my defense to all of those who sit in judgement of me
Don't we have the right to eat and drink?
Don't we have the right to take a wife like all the other brothers?
Or am I alone in the work of the Lord?

Though I'm a free man, I am a slave to every man.
To those under the law, I am like one under the law
To those who are weak, I am like one also so weak.
I'm all things to all men, so I can save some of them.

Why would any man serve as soldier without pay?
Who plants a vinyard and doesn't eat its grapes?
Who tends to a flock, and doesn't drink the milk?
The ploughman and thresher share in the harvest still.

If the spirtual seed was sown among you,
why can't I reap the harvest?
Don't give your support to someone else.
What is my reward, to volunteer
to go out and preach the gospel?
Just that I may offer it free of charge.

Though I'm a free man, I am a slave to every man.
To those under the law, I am like one under the law
To those who are weak, I am like one also so weak.
I'm all things to all men, so I can save some of them.
